M& E also supports another ten million people of associated industry like hospitality, Tourism, travel, transport, engineering, fashion & design etc. ,” initiated Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI at a webinar with the topic ‘M&E Industry Back on Its Feet’.
“M&E includes Print, Radio, Television, Cinema, New Media, Events, Music and Theme Parks. The worst effected is the cinema when 10,000 theatres are closed and 1.5 crore customers are feeling let down every day. The industry has occurred a loss of Rs 6000 crores in these 60 days,” added Dr. Marwah.
“I extend my heartiest thanks to few very nice people of the industry who all have gone out of way to support lakhs of daily wages workers of the industry. New changes have to be brought down right from writing to production,”said Virendra Saxena renowned theatre, film and TV artist.”
Indian film industry also has to live with Carona and it has to start with new norms. We, as an industry, have been supporting Government in every issue, Now Government should take care of needy today.
