WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has been released from a UK prison. He was released after reaching an agreement with the US Department of Justice. According to court documents released on Monday night, Julian Assange agreed to plead guilty to charges of exposing military secrets in exchange for his release. This development also brings an end to the lengthy legal proceedings against Assange. He had been accused of conspiring to obtain and disclose classified US national defense information. Under the terms of the agreement with the US Department of Justice, Assange will not have to spend time in US custody.
